Naruto sure does have ingenious ways of solving problems

So Pain's biggest weakness is genjutsu? Shame Kurenai is pregnant. Sakura was said to be talented in genjutsu during the early part of Naruto. She could show up and help. Maybe if the Leaf hadn't killed all of their Uchihas this could be going better for them.

Part of me wants to say Tsunade is really bad at being Hokage and tends to make all the wrong decisions. The other part is saying that there's no way they could've known Pain was going to launch an attack right now. So sending Guy's team out on a mission while everything is perfectly safe is a perfectly normal thing to do.
